Paint that behaves badly.
Moving multiple times between different countries has had an impact on my work in a number of ways. That state of flux and movement results in explorations into paint that can be free of its support or caught in the process of escape. When artists paint it is usually to apply wet medium to the canvas where it dries and where it stays. My paintings behave in a less expected way, I like to think of them as misbehaving, as if they are determined to do something else with their lives. My art practice sits in the space between painting and sculpture, unpredictable and with no fixed abode.
