Fiery reds sit alongside rich burgundy and vivid orange interspersed by glimmers of gold and touches of deep purple.
This work is an investigation into feelings of being the same but different. This theme features regularly in my work and is influenced by my own experience of many international moves. When new to a country without the support of a social network feelings of not quite belonging are strong.
A blood moon appears during a total lunar eclipse. The reddish glow seen at this time was the starting point for the colour palette.
This work is fitted with D rings and wire for immediate hanging. On the back, you will find my signature, initials, title, and year. It is registered on the NRAA (National Registry for Australian artists). The work comes with details of the registration and a Certificate of Authenticity.
